Premanand, a native of Vadodara, who became aware of 'Kavi-Shirompi', is known to me as an excellent narrator of Gujarati language.  Premananda used to play rastabal to the Loksamudaya by playing the melody with the rhythm of the copper mana with the jvatimo worn on the front.  By taking stories from its mythological texts, by placing the places of interest in Paul, in the Gujarati atmosphere, he kept on entertaining the people.  He has enriched Gujarati poetry with the titles 'Okharash', 'Chandrahas Akhyan', 'Abhimanyu Akhyan', 'Sudamacharitra', 'Kunwarbai Nu Mameru', 'Nalakhyan', 'Raijna', 'Dashamsamp' etc.  They can knit different interests in the manna.  Here are 15 popular stories of his imparting knowledge and teachings,

taken from Mahakavi Premananda's 'Sudamacharitra' narrative.  Sudama is a poor Brahmin.  However, the inseparable friendship and mutual love of the two is not represented in this bitter way.
